Bristol-Kendall Fire Station No. 1

Kluber Architects + Engineers completed a new 24,850-square-foot fire and emergency medical services headquarters for the Bristol – Kendall Fire Protection District located in Yorkville, Illinois. The two-story structure includes buck rooms, a training room, as well as a dispatch center. Additionally, the apparatus bays contain ten back-in equipment spaces. Prior to this project, Kluber was provided a space needs assessment for the fire department.

The dual fire/EMS facility also houses the back-up Communication Center for Fire Dispatch as well as infrastructure necessary to migrate into a functional PSAP (911) facility in accordance with NFPA 1221 requirements.
