Project Details

An addition and renovation of a 28,000-square-foot, two-story complex attached to the existing community center offered challenges that Kluber Architects + Engineers addressed in the design of the Eola Road-branch of the Aurora Public Library.

An octagonal entrance was included on the southeast corner of the building to provide a clear view of the library from Eola Road. Special care was also taken to ensure the exterior of the building matched the original structure.

A glass roof provides adequate natural light and allows for abundant amounts of daylight harvesting. Along with the dramatic staircase that draws you into the library and up to the second floor, the entire building is accented by reading rooms, fireplaces and private study areas.
