Village of Carpentersville – Riverfront Park
In January of 2025, the Kluber team was asked by HR Green to join their team as the designer for this project, that they had been previously selected to be the Civil Engineer for the new Riverfront Park, by the Village of Carpentersville.
This project is part of the Village’s “Re-imagine Carpentersville Comprehensive Plan”. The park is to be located along Washinton Street and South of the Main Street bridge. This has been a project that the Village has been hoping to complete for many years.
The goal of this park is to create a place where people can sit and enjoy the Fox River, and it will bring people into the Oldtown area. There will be public access to the waterway from the park. Other amenities include a beer garden with string lighting that will offer a selection of concessions, awning structures with seating, a lounge area, fire pits, an area for outdoor games, a butterfly garden, a kayak landing, a food truck parking area, a restroom facility, a small play area for children, and a river outlook.
The estimated cost for this project is $5 million, and the Village is seeking grant money to help cover expenses. Site work is currently underway, and the project has only recently gone out to bid in September 2025.
