Eastview Elementary School – Early Childhood Renovation
Oswego, Illinois
In an effort to centralize the District 308 Early Childhood program into one facility, the Kluber team has worked with district administration and staff on the re-purposing of an existing elementary school into the new district Early Childhood Center. The project program was to develop several “Village” groupings of classrooms with centralized Student Support spaces for occupational, physical, speech therapy, and Indoor Gross Motor Activity spaces supporting each pair of Villages. The facility will consist of a total of seven villages of 36 classrooms. The facility will also contain spaces for parent education and walk-in speech services.
The renovation work focuses on the addition of toilet rooms within the classrooms, the creation of new support spaces at former classrooms, and Gross Motor Activity spaces.
