Kluber Architects + Engineers completed a second addition to the east wing of the Health and Business Technology Center at Elgin Community College in 2013. The project added a 1,276-square-foot greenhouse to the existing facility.

The Kluber team worked with several greenhouse structure manufacturers to create a customized pre-and fabricated solution. Specific greenhouse project highlights included fully-automated building venting to control temperatures, automated rolling shade system, adjustable rolling plant tables, as well as an irrigation system with rainwater collection.

Kluber also completed an interior renovation of the Health and Business Technology Center and added a dedicated botany classroom, complete with lab casework and fume hood.
