In 2024, Kluber Architects + Engineers was hired to complete a project consisting of replacing the existing air handling units in Building H and Building J at Joliet Junior College’s Joliet Campus. Building H contains two units that serve the bridge link; the outside air from these units is being ducted to the roof to support improved economizer functionality. In Building J, the existing multizone air handling units are being replaced with variable air volume (VAV) units to improve energy efficiency and operational flexibility. The work is phased, beginning with the replacement of two air handling units on the third floor, followed by the remaining multizone units as identified by the College.
