Kane County selected the Kluber Architects + Engineers team to design an upgrade for the County’s Fire Protection System at the Juvenile Justice Center, Judicial Center, Branch Court, and Courhouse facilities. The process involved upgrading the systems within these four buildings to have an integrated fire protection system, to potentially be expanded to other County buildings in the future.

• The services as part of this project include:
• Site survey of existing fire protection systems
• Evaluating current functionality, and documenting all devise locations and conditions
• Verifying building code and NFPA standards compliance
• Meeting with local authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ’s) to review the project scope and system design
• Creating a fire protection system report documenting existing conditions, recommendations for upgrade, and design intent of the upgraded system, for County review
