The Village of South Elgin hired Kluber Architects + Engineers, Lamp Incorporated, and Mackie Consultants for design, engineering, and construction management of a new 52,00 square foot public works facility.

Key features of this public works facility include:

• Drive through apparatus bays
• Parking for maintenance vehicles
• Three vehicle maintenance bays
• Apparatus support spaces
• Apparatus storage rooms
• A vehicle wash bay

Administrative components also include:

• 50-person public meeting room
• Staff lunchroom/multi-purpose room
• Administrative offices and support spaces
• A locker room facility
• Conference room

The public meeting rooms will be available for after hours access. There were also site improvements made, including a salt dome, materials storage building, and a secured layout yard at the rear of the facility.
