Kluber Architects + Engineers performed a significant renovation on the first floor of a 29,000-square-foot clinic for the Visiting Nurses Association of Fox Valley. The goal was to accommodate the diversity of needs housed within this one organization.

Kluber’s work included examination and consultation rooms, reception, intake and waiting rooms, lab space, doctors’ offices, x-ray room, and a full-service pharmacy with drive-through.

With more than 100 rooms and 10 departments, the design proved to be challenging. Many department heads, doctors and clinicians had varying ideas of what worked and what they needed. Kluber hosted several programming sessions to generate a consensus that, in the end, provided a functional space that everyone could embrace and enjoy.
