Project Details

Kluber Architects + Engineers was chosen by the United City of Yorkville to first assess their current Public Works Facility to determine if they had the adequate space to meet their current and future needs for equipment, storage, personnel, and operations.

Our approach was to determine whether there were ways to utilize the existing facilities or if a future development would need to occur to accommodate the City’s objectives. Ultimately, the City decided to pursue the construction of a new facility to meet their departmental needs.

Yorkville’s new Public Works facility will house all of their vehicles and equipment under one roof, which will be instrumental in maintaining them for the long haul. The building structure totals 116,311 square feet and includes a 10,922 square foot open mezzanine. Site amenities will also include materials storage bins, a fueling station, a salt structure and material dry pad construction.
