Kluber Architects + Engineers announced today that the South Elgin Public Safety Center was honored to be among the law enforcement industry’s best by the 2025 OFFICER Station Design Awards. This prestigious program recognizes outstanding architecture and design from law enforcement and public safety facilities nationwide. An esteemed and experienced panel of judges with a background in planning and constructing law enforcement and public safety facilities recognized Kluber Architects + Engineers as an honoree.
“On behalf of the 2025 OFFICER Station Design Awards, I would like to congratulate Kluber on their honoree status,” said OFFICER Magazine Managing Editor Paul Peluso. “This competitive program allows the OFFICER Media Group to celebrate and recognize facilities that exemplify the progress and innovation seen in today’s public safety facilities.”
Notably, the South Elgin Public Safety Center, designed by the Kluber team and built by Lamp Incorporated, earned a Bronze Award in the OFFICER Station Design Awards program in the category for facilities under 50,000 square feet, recognizing the project’s thoughtful planning, functionality, and support of modern public safety operations.
The South Elgin Public Safety Center was thoughtfully designed to support community engagement and promote officer wellbeing. Designed as a community-integrated facility, this 36,482 square foot, two-story building is a model of modern law enforcement design. Located in the heart of downtown South Elgin, the facility occupies a full city block adjacent to the Village Hall and just west of the Fox River. The site was carefully selected to enhance and respect the surrounding community.
“This project reflects what matters most to us as a firm, listening closely to the stakeholders who use the building every day and designing a facility that truly supports their work,” said Mike Kluber, President of Kluber Architects + Engineers. “We are proud to see the South Elgin Public Safety Center recognized at a national level and grateful for the trust the Village of South Elgin placed in our team.”
